There are two types of 360 video: stereoscopic and monoscopic.

  • Stereoscopic 360 video has two images that are slightly offset from each other, creating a sense of depth when viewed with a VR headset.

How do I sync experiences in Oculus Go with another person?

To synchronize experiments in Oculus Go with another person, you need to connect your Oculus Go headset to the same Wi-Fi network as the other person's headset. Once you're connected, open the Oculus app on your phone and go to the Shared Experiences section. From there, you can choose the experience you want to share with the other person.

Synchronized virtual reality shows

Synchronized virtual reality shows are a type of entertainment where multiple people can experience the same virtual reality content at the same time. To do this, each person can wear a virtual reality headset or have a large screen visible to all. Synchronized VR shows can be used for a variety of purposes, such as educational experiences, games, or simply for entertainment.

How to synchronize VR?

There are several ways to synchronize VR. The most common is to use a controller or other input device to control the action in the VR world. This can be done by moving the controller in the same direction you want to move in the VR world, or by using the buttons on the controller to perform actions. Some VR systems also allow you to use your body movements to control the action in the VR world.

At KPN's annual Digital Dutch event, the central theme is digitalization. Thousands of decision makers from the business sector gather to discuss and experience what digitalization means in the Netherlands.

During the event, several VR experiences were to be shown to all participants, highlighting Dutch innovation.

The team was already familiar with simultaneous audio playback on multiple devices, but never on such a large scale or on so many devices. We started to develop different components, such as a pre-loader to easily transfer content to devices. The main component was a trigger to start playback on each device, which we called the remote control.

After we figured out how to remotely enable content on different devices, we needed a way to support more devices. So we created a local network that eventually became the VR Sync box. With multiple access points, we were able to include more and more devices. When the event arrived, we felt pretty good, but we were still a little anxious.

The situation of the Roma in the Western Balkans was the central theme of a UN meeting organized as part of International Roma Week. To build empathy and encourage discussion on the topic, the UN showed a 360-degree video to the 150 participants.

"The equipment had to work flawlessly. "

The United Nations had very strict security measures in place, which made it difficult for us to access the internet on site. So we had limited time to set up, test and show the content to 360 degrees on site. This also meant that the content had to be pre-installed and thoroughly tested, and the hardware had to work perfectly.
